Turkey’s Whirling Dervishes are world-renowned for their unique twirling rituals, an ancient spiritual practice of the Sufi religion. With this tour, attend a traditional Sema ceremony at a historic caravanserai and watch the sacred ritual for yourself. Your English-speaking guide will be there throughout the 1-hour ceremony to explain the traditions, and you’ll also have the opportunity to try ‘Serbet’, a sweet cordial drink enjoyed by the Sufis.

The whole ceremony takes around one hour and we offer ‘Serbet’, a religious drink, after the ceremony. Turkish Heritage Travel picks you up from your hotel in Goreme or other towns of Cappadocia half an hour earlier, which will give you enough time to see the parts of the caravanserai prior to ceremony.
